Scrappy Wall Hanging with Beads
My very good friends, Linda and Marilou, gifted me this unique wall hanging for my 8 Year Celebration. It’s made with scrappy Aboriginal fabric, beads and has embroidery stitches as a decorative feature along each seam line.
All that’s needed to make this project is a sewing machine that has decorative stiches. Another option is to hand quilt each block in the Kawandi method and hand embroider along the seams. Each method is beautiful and would be fun to make.
For $55.00, you will get enough scrap fabric, batting, backing and trims to make this Scrappy Wall Hanging with Beads. If you have specific fabric you want to use for your project, then bring that instead.
The one I made as a class sample took me almost 3 full days to complete, so this will not be finished in one day. You will leave with instructions to finish this at home or you can work on it here at future Sit and Sews.
A supply list will be sent out before the class date.
Class is on August 23, 2025 from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm
