Kawandi 2.0 Workshop!
After completing the Kawandi Mini (or Big Stitch Mini Quilt), you will be ready for this workshop.
The Kawandi Mini (or Big Stitch Mini Quilt) class is a good introduction on the technique, color selection and creating a theme with your piece. But now that you’ve made one, what’s next? What else can you make in this style? What can you do with your finished 18’×18’ piece?
In this class we will be adventurous, create and have fun. In this exploration you can:
Make a larger Kawandi quilt (throw size 60×60)
Make a throw pillow cover with your existing 18×18 Kawandi piece (20×20)
You can make a simple dress or pull on pants with this technique (A Line dress for women / Pull on pants style for men )
You can make a table runner
You can mount your 18×18 finished piece to an art canvas that you will paint
You can make a wall hanging
Add to the back of a jacket, etc., etc.
The ideas are limitless and the exploration is always fun.
This class will take more than one sitting, and additional dates will be determine based on your individual project.
The following supplies will be included in the $70.00 cost of this workshop, pattern, batting, and scrappy fabrics. Additional fabric can be purchased from the shop, or sourced by you to use, I encourage you to bring and play around with color schemes.
Please choose your option so I know what to prepare and what supplies I’ll need. Patterns will be mailed out before the class so you can get them cut in your sizes. Supply lists will be emailed to all participants a week before class starts.
