You've completed the Kawandi Mini or Big Stitch Mini Quilt—now it’s time to level up your skills and creativity! This workshop is all about pushing boundaries, exploring new ideas, and transforming your stitching into something bold, personal, and fun.

🧵 What’s Next for Your 18" x 18" Piece?

In this hands-on, open-ended class, you’ll learn how to turn your Kawandi piece into something truly unique. You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • 🛋️ Make a throw pillow cover (20" x 20") using your mini quilt

  • 🖼️ Mount it on a painted art canvas for a mixed-media wall piece

  • 👘 Incorporate it into clothing like an A-line dress or pull-on pants

  • 🧥 Add it to the back of a jacket or denim vest for wearable fiber art

  • 🍽️ Create a table runner or larger wall hanging

  • 🛏️ Start a full throw-size Kawandi quilt (60" x 60") for a cozy, colorful statement

The ideas are limitless — and the journey is all about creative exploration!

  • Beads and a beading needle

  • Batting and curated scrappy fabrics

  • Pattern choice

  • Creative guidance and individual support from Angelique Shah

Want to personalize your piece? You're encouraged to bring your own fabrics to mix, match, and experiment with color and texture. Additional fabric will also be available for purchase in class.

📬 Before Class:

Choose your project path when you register so we can prep accordingly. Patterns will be mailed out in advance to give you time to cut and prepare. A full supply list will be emailed one week before class.

⏳ Note:

This is an ongoing project, and may take more than one class to complete. Additional workshop dates will be offered based on your needs and project choice.

Please note: Workshop fees are non-refundable.

If you’re unable to attend, we’re happy to offer a one-time transfer to a future session of Beyond the Kawandi Mini or a similar class, based on availability. To be eligible for rescheduling, notice of cancellation must be received at least 72 hours before the workshop.

No-shows or cancellations made within 72 hours of the workshop start time are not eligible for rescheduling.
