The Story Behind Monstera Mojo
One day, a leaf fell off my Monstera plant. It was so big and beautiful that I couldn’t just throw it away. Instead, I traced its shape onto paper and began turning that fallen leaf into a quilt design.
Monstera Mojo was created as an homage to that one very special leaf. What started as a leaf that had fallen from my plant became a quilt—and now I’m sharing the pattern so you can create your own!
About the Pattern
The Monstera Mojo leaf makes a bold statement with its dramatic shape and endless possibilities for color and creativity.
The full-size leaf measures approximately 30” tall × 21½” wide. Make a single leaf for a wall hanging or art quilt, or repeat the design to create a larger quilt—even a king-size quilt!
Choose your favorite fabrics, experiment with contrasting backgrounds, and arrange your leaves however you like. Each version can be completely different.
This is an appliqué pattern, so you can use the appliqué method that works best for you. My original quilt uses raw-edge appliqué with stabilizer and a zigzag stitch, but you can explore other techniques to achieve your own desired look.

Fabric note: The leaf is larger than a standard fat quarter. If selecting your own fabrics, I recommend purchasing a 1-yard cut for the leaf fabric.

Only five complete kits were assembled for this limited release! Once they’re gone, availability will depend on whether I create another batch.
