This amazing coat was supposed to be a King sized quilt. I completed the quilt top and out it on the long arm machine and quilted an entire row across. Something about the design, or the pattern or the look in Frida’s eyes was yelling, “ Coat, Coat! Not Quilt!” I removed from the long arm and removed all of the stiches, which took forever, and created this trench patterned coat.
I believe it was the right way to go and Frida really shines in this manner, more than she would've in the quilt. This coat is waiting for a very dynamic person to peacock about town.
It fits a size 16 comfortably, and with the tie belt it’s adjustable around the wait. It has 2 substantial inseam, deep pockets that will easily holds keys, and a phone.
